| Day 1 | DÜSSELDORF Our cruise begins
in Düsseldorf, the German city famous for its carnival. This elegant and
bustling city on the Rhine stands out for its fashion, shopping, and vibrant
cultural scene. The Königsallee, one of Europe’s most luxurious avenues, is
just a short walk from Altstadt, the Old Town with its 260 bars and
restaurants, renowned worldwide. Its narrow streets are full of life, and the
cultural offerings abound with spectacular events and exhibitions. Embarkation
from 4:00 p.m. Welcome dinner on board. Overnight stay on the ship. |
|
| Day 2 | KOBLENZ Full board on
board. At breakfast, we arrive in Koblenz, one of Germany’s most beautiful and
historic cities. The city lies in the world-famous “German Corner”. Spectacular
landscapes of four central mountain ranges, vineyards, and forests surround
this town, whose more than two-thousand-year history is reflected in its
architectural heritage: magnificent churches and palaces, old aristocratic
estates, and grand townhouses of the high bourgeoisie. Guided
walking tour (without entrance fees). Overnight on board. |
|
| Day 3 | MAINZ / RÜDESHEIM Full
board on board. We wake up in Mainz, a city with nearly 2,000 years of
historical heritage. The skyline is dominated by the cathedral. In the shadow
of this magnificent temple stretches medieval Mainz, where life unfolds in
narrow, winding streets, with numerous shops, boutiques, and cafés surrounding
the beautiful Kirschgarten with its romantic half-timbered houses. The view of
Mainz from the Rhine side appears more restrained, dominated by two eras:
Modernity, represented by the City Hall, the Hilton Hotel, and the
Rheingoldhalle Congress Center; and Baroque/Renaissance, seen in the Neues
Zeughaus (New Arsenal), the Deutschordenshaus, and the Palace of the Electors. In the
afternoon, we arrive in Rüdesheim, one of Germany’s most visited towns.
Historic landmarks such as the Klunkhardshof, the fortified Adler Tower, the
millennia-old Brömser Castle, and the ruins of Ehrenfels Castle invite you to
explore this charming town. Overnight
stay in Rüdesheim. Overnight on board. |
|
| Day 4 | COLOGNE /
DÜSSELDORF Full board on
board. After lunch, we arrive in Cologne, Germany’s oldest city, home to
countless cultural and historical treasures, world-renowned museums, and a
vibrant arts scene. Take a journey through 2,000 years of history and explore
cultural landmarks from the Roman Empire to modern times. Guided walking tour
of Cologne (without entrance fees). In the evening, enjoy the Captain’s Dinner.
